Home Emergency | The client is assisted with any home emergency or non-emergency on a 24/7 basis at the client’s permanent residence which includes outbuildings on the premises. A home emergency refers to an unforeseen and unexpected event which requires immediate attention by an appropriate service provider in order to provide for the functioning of essential services and/or to limit consequential damage or sanitation risk. Benefit table: Electrical, Plumbing, Glazier & Locksmith Cost for services rendered by service providers is paid for and limited to the call-out fee and first hour’s labour, maximum 3 incidents per annum. Other Home Services such as Appliances, Garden Services, Gate Motors, Intercoms, etc The case manager will obtain quotes from more than one service provider available and make arrangements in terms of the call-out or appointment on behalf of the client. Cost is paid by the client. | Cost of parts and labour in excess of the first hour’s call-out fee for electrical, plumbing, glazier & locksmith incidents are payable by the client. Exclusions for the call-out & 1st hour’s labour benefit are normal wear and tear maintenance, access controls, septic tanks and municipal electrical and water connections. |
Handyman | The handyman service would include but is not limited to: • Fixing broken door handles | Limited to 3 incidents per annum; |

Home Inspections | The purpose of the home inspection is to uncover existing faults and identify potential problems with regards to: • Boundary & Retaining Walls • Windows and Doors • Damp Problems • Storm water • Cracked Foundations • Swimming Pools • Roof Structure • Plumbing Benefits includes: • The service provider will assess the entire property • Provide a professional, detailed, unbiased report • Recommend solutions to fix and problems • Check completed repair work | Limited to 1 dispute inspection per annum. Incidents covering: - Call out fee - 1-hour inspection |
@HomeHelp | Home emergency refers to an unforeseen and unexpected event which requires immediate attention by an appropriate service provider to provide for the functioning of essential services and/or to limit consequential damage or sanitation risk. It might also be a situation which poses a security or safety risk or where maintenance support is required due to wear and tear of parts. The product comprises of 3 categories: Category 1: Emergency & Maintenance Assistance: • Electrical: Faulty lights/plugs, geyser no hot water, general electric wiring, burnt plug point, tripping DB board, no power • Plumbing: Blocked drain/batch/sink/tap/pipe, leaking geyser, burst pipe • Appliances: Microwave oven, Stove, Fridge, Freezer, Washing Machine, Tumble dryer, Dishwasher, Wall-mounted Air Conditioner • Electric Motors: Gate, Swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Garage door • Locksmiths: Unlocking of doors (Safes and Custom-made Security gates excluded) • Other: Tree felling, Beekeeper, Snake catcher, Fumigation and Pest Control Category 2: Handyman Assistance The handyman service would include but is not limited to: • Fixing broken door handles • Replacing light bulbs • Hanging pictures • Moving furniture • Replacing mouldy grout etc. Category 3: Home Relocation Assistance The service provides the following benefits when the policy holder relocates to a new property: • Moving services, • Cleaning services, • Connection of appliances or a decoder/entertainment system. | Call-out and labour of a relevant service provider, including cost of parts within the incident limit.
